Jack Fancher was still a young child by the end of World War II, but he still recalls several vivid memories. One of his earliest memories was of blackout drills in his native Binghamton, New York. He and his mother kept in contact with his two uncles who were in the service and upon the end of the war he remembers joyous celebrations in the streets.
Jack Fancher discussed his memories on the homefront of Binghampton New York including rationing, V-E Day, and two of his uncles who served in the National Guard.
