AbstractBarbara W. Hayes was born in 1939 on the Wye Plantation, in Queenstown, Maryland, where she lived for the majority of her childhood. She worked as a domestic for the Houghton Family, who owned the Wye Plantation, in addition to aiding her infirm grandmother in the summers.
DescriptionBarbara shares the stories of her childhood growing up on the farm, from the house in which she lived, to what she and her ten siblings used to do for fun.
